How can I help?

Volunteers wanted
If you would like to volunteer to help out with DHHM then let us know. Of course, we need runners so if you can haul yourself around 13+ miles of muddy countryside then please enter the race . If you would like to help in a way that doesn't require that your legs move especially quickly then please get in touch with us at
Here are some of the ways you could get involved as a volunteer:
We need about 80 marshals and 30 HQ staff for this race and volunteering is a great way to get involved. It carries a level of responsibility but you get to wear a hi-vis vest, enjoy a free packed lunch, and have some fun. You must be at least 18 years old to marshal on your own but there are some groups of 2, 3 and 4 marshals that you can be a part of if you are under 18.
Water Station attendants
Runners get thirsty and, in accordance with ARC rules, we will provide 4 water stations at The Doynton Hard Half Marathon. If you are willing to stand at a water station, hold out cups of water for runners and risk the occasional splash then let us know.
If you are a local business, like the sound of this event, and would like to see your name on this web site and on the finishers t-shirt then get in touch.
The Doynton Summer Fete boasted some Morris dancers and a Welly Wanging competition. January may be a little early for Morris dancers (and Welly Wanging is just made up), but if you have a particular skill that you would like to demonstrate in public then get in touch.
Cakes, flans, tarts, puddings
Of course, most runners run primarily to justify the shocking amount of food they eat (you know who you are). Why not show off your culinary abilities and make something for the hungry runners to eat in their post-run reckless calorie frenzy?
